In the next page, at the right side of the middle, click on, ‘Login or Register’.

In the next page at the left middle side again click on, ‘Login or register’ in blue.
On the directed page, at the right side, click on, ‘Register’.

Click on, ‘I agree’.

Logging into UI

To log in, go to, www.edd.ca.gov/login

Here, at the top right side, click on, ‘Login’.
In the next page, at the right side of the middle, click on, ‘Login or Register’.
In the next page at the left middle side again click on, ‘Login or register’ in blue.
On the directed page, at the left side, type,

Check the validation box

UI Online is a fast, convenient, and secure way for Unemployment Insurance customers to access claim information, certify for benefits, report work and wages, view detailed payment information, and manage their claims 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Only customers who have an existing Unemployment Insurance claim and Employment Development Department Customer Account Number can register for UI Online.
Computers are available free of charge at your local America’s Job Center of California throughout the state and at public libraries. If you don’t already have your own personal email account, you will need to create one. It’s quick and easy and there are many free options available.
All Unemployment Insurance customers who file a new claim or reopen an existing claim will automatically receive their Employment Development Department (EDD) Customer Account Number (DE 5614) letter within 10 business days of filing or reopening a claim.

If you have lost, misplaced, or never received your EDD Customer Account Number, contact the EDD:

Online: Go to Ask EDD and select the category Unemployment Insurance Benefits, the subcategory UI Online, and the topic EDD Customer Account Number. Select Continue at the bottom of the page to begin the process of submitting your message.
By Phone: Call 1-800-300-5616 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon (Pacific Time), Monday through Friday, except on state holidays.
The EDD Customer Account Number is a unique, ten-digit account number assigned by the Employment Development Department. Currently, this number is used on certain written correspondence and to register for UI Online. It does not replace your Social Security number.
You must have a Benefit Programs Online account, an active UI claim, and received your Employment Development Department Customer Account Number in order to register for a UI Online account.
From the UI Online homepage, select Certify for Benefits. When certifying for benefits, respond, “Yes” to question six, “Did you work or earn any money, whether you were paid or not?” The system will prompt you to provide additional information about your earnings. As soon as you begin working, be sure to notify the Employment Development Department on your weekly certification in the week in which you worked. Do not wait until you receive your first paycheck to report wages. Wages must be reported for the week they were earned, not when paid.
To view detailed payment information, including how the payment was calculated wages, overpayments, and voluntary federal tax withholding amounts, select the Payment Activity link from the main menu then select Details for the desired week. If the Details link is not available for a specific week, no payment was made for that week. This can be a result of excessive earnings, a disqualification, or another eligibility issue.

Log in to Benefit Programs Online and navigate to UI Online Home.
Select Contact Us.
Select a category and a topic from the drop-down menus.
Read the information provided to help you answer your questions. If you still need help, submit a question.
Filed a claim, but don’t have a UI Online account? Register for Benefit Programs Online and then create a UI Online account.
If you think someone is committing fraud against one of the EDD’s programs, it is important that you let us know about it. All allegations of fraud are taken seriously, and you can remain anonymous. Please include as much information as possible. To preserve confidentiality and integrity, the EDD does not disclose status or provide updates to allegations of fraud, unless court ordered or as required by law. Please note that EDD will not disclose your identity unless required by law. If you wish to remain anonymous, DO NOT include your personal information.

A benefit overpayment occurs when an individual is overpaid in Unemployment Insurance (UI)/Disability Insurance (DI) or Paid Family Leave (PFL) benefits, due to fraud, non-fraud, misrepresentation, withholding of material fact, erroneous statement, or by department error. The overpayment debt includes the amount the individual was overpaid and an additional 30 percent penalty for fraud overpayments.
